- Individual counselling (up to 12 sessions)
- Mental health support groups
- Outreach counselling for those who face barriers to accessing in-person care
- Psychiatric consultations by referral only
- Play therapy for children (12 and under, by referral through the CUPS Family & Child Development Centre only)
Who can access this program?
Individuals who are already connected to a CUPS program and who are aged 18+ (except for play therapy) can self-refer. Please note that we cannot accept court-mandated or Children & Family Services Therapy referrals
How to get help
Come down to CUPS
If you are new to CUPS: please visit us for a walk-in appointment to complete a self-referral form.
If you have already connected with CUPS: please speak to your case worker about how to self-refer to the Mental Health Program, call us, or stop by the mental health desk at CUPS to complete a Mental Health Intake form.

How do I access mental health support?
For long-term counseling, you must be connected to a CUPS program. If you have a caseworker or healthcare provider at CUPS, speak with them about a referral, or visit the mental health administrator on the second floor.
How many counseling sessions can I receive?
Eligible clients can receive up to 12 individual counseling sessions.
Is there a waitlist for services?
Waitlists vary based on services, please inquire.
Are Mental Health Services no charge?
Yes, all services are no-charge for eligible individuals living on low-incomes.
What types of support groups do you offer?
We offer several different mental health support groups throughout the year with different topics, some include Grief and Loss, Trauma Support Groups, Shame and Resiliency, and Life Skills Groups
