One World Child Development Centre is an early intervention education centre that operates with the philosophy of providing a nurturing, caring, educational environment to help children and families reach their full potential. The holistic approach meets the needs of preschool, full day kindergarten, parent education, health care, and social services - all identified as key areas for action with at-risk children and families. 

We have a full time professional employment opportunity as a Centre Administrator commencing August 23, 2010. 

The Administrator will actively support One World staff and families
in order to facilitate the efficient operation of the facility. This position will coordinate a broad range of routine administrative functions within One World with excellent inter-personal/organizational skills; problem solving skills; good judgement and the ability to channel information to the appropriate area.  Analysis and planning skills is a definite must. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensure the accuracy of information and step up to a challenge when needed will help you to excel in this role.  This individual will have a strong working knowledge of systems and general office administrative skills, be a self-starter with at risk situations, have a familiarity of CUPS programs and be able to effectively collaborate within One World and the community.  

The successful candidates will have a Degree or similar in office administration with a minimum of 5 years related experience.  The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to evidence based practice and the ability to work in a team environment.  This individual must have an understanding of poverty and homelessness, and possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.  The assignment will require collaborative planning and will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team.
